MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of St. Catharine of Siena’s Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is to provide a foundation for growth in the Catholic Christian religion. The program staff will constantly strive to provide not only religious knowledge but also a faith that will be lived in the community of the Church. The goal of our educational ministry is to guide the student in their journey of faith to become deeply committed to Jesus, His Church, and His people.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

Registered members of the parish community, who are not enrolled in a Catholic school, are encouraged to enroll their children in the PREP Program.

WHEN AND WHERE?

Our elementary and junior high students gather from September to April. All levels meet on Wednesday evenings. Each year a registration form must be completed. These forms are available below as well as in the Church gathering area and at the Parish Center.

VOLUNTEERS WELCOME!

All parents and active members of the parish are encouraged to volunteer at PREP. We are always in need of Catechists, classroom Aides and hall monitors. All materials and guidance information is furnished.  Volunteers need all clearances (not just Protecting God’s Children)  Contact Marci Zambito with any questions.

Requirements are: a love of God and children and a willingness to spread the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. All volunteers are required to attend the Protecting God’s Children Workshop that is offered in the parish.

What we give our children will last a lifetime.

We’d be glad to have you get involved with our PREP program.  Please visit our Contacts / Resources page to find the contact information for PREP.
