Youth Ministry at St. Catharine of Siena is divided into four different programs based on age:
Little Angels – for young children up through kindergarten
Kids for Christ – for children in 1st through 5th grades

Friday 2/23 – Sunday 2/25 - Senior High School Retreat. Reservations going on now. All current high school youth are welcome and invited to participate, however space is limited so do not delay. Held at beautiful Camp Manatawny, Douglasville and led by teens, like you, from St Catharine’s & St Benedict’s parishes. This year’s theme is the “Beatitudes”. It’s not to be missed! $50 non-refundable fee covers food, lodging & programming. Last year’s participants are still talking about the fun they had and the memories they made. Do something for you and your relationship with the Lord this Lent. Be a part of this year’s retreat! Permission slip below. Turn into the parish center in marked envelope.
Thursday 3/29 – Friday 3/30. All 7-12 grade youth and their friends are invited to our “26 Hour Holy Week Event- He thirsts for You!”. Part pilgrimage, Part service and Loads of Fun! The bulk of the program, including the sleep over, will be held at the Old Convent next to the school. We will also be visiting Stabon Manor for a service project, several other Catholic churches for a late night “adoration pilgrimage”, as well as our own church for Holy Thursday Mass and Good Friday service. Youth will have an opportunity to view “The Shack” pg-13 and those 9-12th gr, with signed parental release, can watch the “Passion of the Christ” rated R, if they choose. There will be a few great speakers including our seminarian Jeff, Father John and senior teen leader Emma, as well as lots of fun games and time to just chill with new and old friends. Cost is $10 plus a toiletry contribution (body lotion, soap, oral care materials or socks). These will be used as part of an alms giving gift during our service project. Youth are asked to bring their own sleeping bags/air mattress, water bottle and camp/bean bag chair along with over night bag. All are welcome, but space will be limited so RSVP no later than 3/23 with permission slip, found below and at the youth table in back of church to the parish center or give directly to Deanna Stratton.
April: TBD – Re-schedule of “Catholic Philadelphia Tour” with Father John Rother!
Friday 7/20 – Sunday 7/22 – Annual Steubenville High School Youth Conference. Open to all current 8-12 teens of the parish. This year’s destination will be Franciscan University Steubenville, Ohio! This event is always well received by youth who go! The reduced cost of $90 covers transportation, meals, conference and t-shirt. Space is limited. Sign up now! Sunday 7/29 – Saturday 8/4 - Mission trip to Scranton, Pa with Group Mission Trips. Reservations going on now. All current 8th -12th graders are welcome to participate in home repair and construction mission work! Space is limited so contact Julia Sneeringer (email@example.com) to learn more and sign up by 1/31/18. Permission slip below.
